Holistic Body Therapy
Holistic physical therapy is an approach to healing that considers the whole person and takes into account not just physical symptoms, but emotional, mental, and spiritual health as well. Bowen Therapy, Theta Healing, and The Zones Healing Techniques are three popular types of holistic physical therapy that can help restore balance to the body and promote optimal health and well-being.
Bowen Therapy
The Bowen technique, also known as Bowen therapy, is a gentle, non-invasive form of holistic treatment for a wide variety of ailments, including sports injury, migraines, muscle tension, and more. It was created by Tom Bowen of Geelong, Australia, in the 1950s. Bowen worked on his clients with this technique from the time of its inception until his passing in the 1980s. His implementation brought successful relief to over 85% of his patients, proving its effectiveness. While he worked on developing this therapeutic technique over the course of a decade, it was officially brought over to the United States in the early 1990s. Since its arrival, the Bowen Technique has successfully relieved pain and inflammation in patients across the country. The primary purpose of this technique is to relieve muscle tension and promote healing and alignment within the body. The capabilities of this therapy are quite incredible. It has been shown to promote improvement in both physical and neurological conditions. For example, patients who have Parkinson’s, severe migraines, PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome), and Fibromyalgia have all reported improved symptoms following regular Bowen therapy.
The Zones Therapy
The Zone Technique is based on many of Peter Goldman’s influences and experiences. One of his major influences were the teachings of Dr. Thurman Fleet (1895-1983), who created Zone Therapy in 1931 in San Antonio, Texas. After learning Zone Therapy in 1993 and refining it over the next two decades, Dr. Peter Goldman created the Zone Healing Method.
Dr. Goldman’s Zone Technique is built upon the principles of Palmer’s real chiropractic experience combined with the teachings of Dr. Fleet. The healing results his patients achieved were unparalleled. In the early 1990’s, Dr. Goldman began studying alongside several of Dr. Fleet’s top students and created his Zone Healing Method. While Dr. Goldman was in chiropractic school, many of the faculty were so fascinated with the healing results from Dr. Goldman’s Zone Technique that they too began getting adjusted by him. Since graduating chiropractic school, the phenomenal results have continued, leading to patients flying from all over the world to get adjusted by Dr. Goldman.
